KOH SAMUI, THAILAND, MARCH 2013

We had a great and very relaxing time in Koh Samui, definitely a place we would go back to sometime in the future.  A very short flight, just 1 hour and 50 minutes from Singapore, makes it the perfect choice for a quick vacation.
Our room at the Hansar Samui Resort.

The room at the Hansar was great, we had a second floor room, 1205 with a great view over the pool.  The Hotel only has 3 levels, but be warned, there is no escalator, not that it bothered us too much.  If I had to make any comments, I would say that I wish there were more coat hangars in the closet.  Also there was not much drawer space.  The massive walk in shower is cool, but no privacy from the bedroom, you could see straight into the shower.  Other rooms may be different of course.  The room also had a small fridge and mini bar.

The Hansar had a great infinity pool.  In between the pool and the beach is a road, although not terribly busy, still had to watch out for cars and mopeds.  It is not a problem though and we never had a problem with any traffic noise at night.

The beach was nice and clean, although the sand very coarse and as I said before, quite difficult to walk on.  There was the odd vendor selling stuff but it was not intrusive.  The one guy we looked for every day was the ice cream guy. It was mighty hot, so an ice cream was the perfect way to cool down - that and a happy hour cocktail of course!
And here are some more of the random photos I took during our Koh Samui trip.
