QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA, AUGUST 2015

We had a wonderful 10 day trip which took us to Brisbane and the town of Noosa Heads, before flying up to Cairns in Far North Queensland where we stayed at Port Douglas.  Read the full blog post here.
BRISBANE

NOOSA HEADS

Love this little town.  Do yourselves a favor and try to score accommodation on Hastings Street.
WHALE WATCHING FROM HERVEY BAY

We had a great humpback whale watching experience with Tasman Venture.  A lovely afternoon out on the water.
BRISBANE

We spent one night here on the way back to Singapore.  What a great City.  Fantastic walking path along the river, a Botanical Gardens, Parks and a great shopping area.
CAIRNS
Lots to do in this area.  Port Douglas is a great place to base yourself in order to experience The Great Barrier Reef, The Daintree, Kuranda and much more.
PORT DOUGLAS
GREAT BARRIER REEF

We too a half day tour with Quicksilver on the Wavedancer out of Port Douglas.  A leisurely hour of sailing before we arrived at The Low Isles where we spent a few hours snorkeling and lounging on the beach before heading back to Port Douglas.
THE DAINTREE AND A DRIVE TO CAPE TRIBULATION

Coastal outlooks, rainforest walks, ferry crossings and empty beaches.
KURANDA

A scenic train journey, markets, crafts, cafes, a Koala encounter and a gondola ride.
