BLOGEXPAT.COM INTERVIEWS LYNNY

Expat Interview

Famous? No! Infamous?! Well no, hopefully not quite yet anyway ;-).   I am however, very excited to announce that I have been interviewed by the lovely people at BlogExpat.com.

Blog Expat is an awesome forum I joined a few months ago because it gives a wealth of information and answers to those nagging questions Expats like me inevitably come across.  It also has awesome blogs from people all over the World, which as a blogging beginner, was a great inspiration.   I plucked up courage and registered my own humble offering - it's nice to think a few more people might stumble across It's Lynny Kansas and be interested in my little piece of the World.

I was very honored to be asked to do this interview and it has certainly boosted my confidence.  I have been learning little by little about creating a blog, mainly by trial and error, tweaking things as I go along.

To read my interview, you can click on the Expat Interview badge above, or click here.

Thanks to everyone who follows It's Lynny and encourages me with this blog.  Maybe if I click my heels, one day I will be famous, I will be famous, I will be famous!  Or if not famous, maybe in Kansas lah! :)

HARD TO RESIST POPIAH ROLLS!

I was in the basement food court today at Takashimaya, the big Department Store on Orchard Road, and couldn't resist the Popiah Rolls.  They are so good, although I am still not fully sure what all the ingredients are, I just know I like them.  More than anything, I really  enjoy watching them being made.

EMPRESS MARKET, SINGAPORE

What's not to love about markets? I personally love market shopping, be it the modern Supermarket (I can happily spend many hours in there), or more colorful and vibrant local markets which can be found wherever and whichever place you are living, the World over.

Singapore has some great "wet" markets, so called because the floors are usually wet from either melting ice, used to keep foods chilled, or from the general washing/cleaning, food and otherwise that goes on.  Empress Market, or Farrer Market as it is also sometimes known, is perhaps the closest and easiest wet market for me to get to.  It is also not so large or overwhelming as some of the others I have been to in Singapore.
