I just recently returned to Singapore from the USA and was immediately thrust into the fervor that accompanies Chinese New Year here in Singapore.

The first thing I saw on arrival, was the massive and quite beautiful "Year of The Horse" display at Changi Airport.  Changi, really is the most wonderful airport and there is always something interesting to look at there.

The celebrations are this coming weekend, the first day of the Lunar New Year being Friday 31st January and the Year of the Horse will last until 18th February 2015.  

Project World Colors, is something I have been following through fellow bloggers for some time now. I always love seeing the colorful photos each month from the contributors, so finally, I plucked up the courage and decided that this year, I am going to put my toe in the water and contribute myself.

I am back in Singapore having spent almost 6 weeks in my other home -  Leesburg, Virginia in the USA.  This cute Northern Virginia Town, steeped in Civil War history, has a special place in my heart, not least because they named the Town after us.  (Just kidding!  Of course, our surname is Lees so we do like to joke that maybe they did name it after us.)

Anyway, it was a lovely time, re-connecting with family, friends and "our Town".
