I recently took an interesting tour of some of the Colonial "Black and White" homes found in Singapore. Our tour guide Geraldene Lowe has an amazing amount of knowledge on these homes and the history of Singapore in general. She is such an interesting lady, the fact she was evacuated out of Singapore during World War II tells you that she is getting on up there in years (although she will never say how old she is).

 The Mutianyu section of The Great Wall of China Pretty impressive if I do say so myself!! Of my short 4 day trip to Beijing, the one and a half hour ride to the Mutianyu section of The Great Wall was, for me, the highlight. It felt pretty surreal to think I was standing in China on this amazing piece of history, one of the "new, Seven Wonders of The World"! This section of the wall was built in 1569 and has 22 watchtowers along it's 2,250m stretch.
 Took a little trip one Wednesday afternoon to an area of Singapore called Bugis, as I had been told there was a great market. This area turned out to be more than just a market but a diverse shopping area ranging from a local market to a modern showpiece mall.
