The Honeymoon is over? Or is it? After 30 years of marriage, hubby and I decided to celebrate our very special milestone this past June, with a 5 day trip to Bali.
Bali is a very common destination for folks living in Singapore because it is only a short 2 hour direct flight. This 2,232 sq mile (5,780 km²) island is the smallest province in Indonesia but one of the over fourteen thousand islands of the Indonesian archipelago.

Open Door Policy is a lively little bistro place on Yong Siak Street (number 19 to be exact) in the lovely "Art Deco", Tiong Bahru area.
We were exploring the Tiong Bahru area and it's market so we headed to ODP for an early lunch/brunch. Yong Siak is a fairly quiet little street, not too far from the market. Also on the street is a cute little coffee shop called Forty Hands, as well as a couple more eclectic little stores. It is obviously a popular weekend spot. We had no reservation and were told the tables were fully booked. However, they had a great little counter where we could sit and watch the chef's, on the other side of the glass, do their thing. |
