IT'S JUST A NUMBER

Last week, I celebrated my birthday, which means I am now counting down to the big "five zero".  Not in the least bit bothered by this fact by the way, it is just a number after all and a good excuse for a party next year lol!!!  Hubby and I celebrated quietly with a nice meal at a new Spanish tapas place we found called Bilbao. Sometimes you need a change from Nasi Goreng and Chicken Rice!

The place has only been open for four months so it was pretty quiet, although in it's defence it was a week night.  The owner from Bilbao, Spain, hence the name of the restaurant.  Think they thought we were food critics or something because I was annoying my husband by taking pictures of the food ha ha!  (That's all your fault Stephanie!)  Anyway, it was really good and a nice evening out.

Also got to go out for another meal the following weekend (well, any excuse for another night out right?!), Italian this time at La Forketta at Dempsey.  The ambiance was good but we came away thinking of our Italian friend in Beacon Hill who makes by far the best Italian food we have ever tasted.  My pasta with shrimp and spinach was OK but very green ha ha!
