PROJECT #WORLDCOLORS 2014 - A GREEN MARCH

The #Worldcolors color for March is green.  Ironically, Singapore's  lush green spaces caused by the usually plentiful rain downpours, are decidedly brown right now.  This due to a severe drought - the worst in over 100 years! Captured perfectly by a fellow #WorldColors collaborator, Paul at Noodle Photography,  click here to see his #Worldcolors green post.

For my own #Worldcolors project this month, I decided to take a slightly different approach, taking out all but the color green from my photos (apart from a few slight exceptions).

I love March, it heralds the Spring, at least in my mind, as I grew up in the UK and spent a chunk of my adult life on the East Coast of the USA.  A trip to New Zealand this past October made me look at Spring in a new light, as of course the seasons are different in that part of the World (lambs in October?!).  But perhaps the best reason of all to love March, my son happened to be born on St. Patrick's Day (the patron Saint of Ireland) no less.   A great, green celebration day if ever there was one!

These two photos I decided to leave as they were.  They are amongst my favorite photos, taken at Walnut Block Cottages in Blenheim, New Zealand on our trip there last October.  I love how the light fell on the vines, and my hubby of course!!

Finally, the Irish know how to celebrate Green.  Happy St. Patricks Day!!

Loved your artistic green photos and that you took all other color out. Especially liked the sheep and the apples, for some reason. You've become quite an accomplished photographer!
