WOEFULLY BEHIND, NEW POSTS SOON

The last month has been an extremely busy one for Lynny.  So much so that I am sadly behind on my posts.

Early May found me back in the USA, in Virginia, where, amongst other things, I was attending my daughter's College Graduation.  She graduated from Christopher Newport University, on May 11th 2013, a very proud day.

After being back in Singapore for barely 2 weeks, I headed to Cape Town, South Africa with my hubby.  We were attending the IATA Conference there.  Talk about a change of climate, it was freezing. The first day was not too bad, but the temps dropped and we actually saw hail one of the days we were there, which looked like snow.  This caused a lot of consternation as it was apparently very unusual for the time of year, even though it was their Winter.

Despite being cold, I got to visit a game reserve, wandered around the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, saw Penguins, Ostriches and visited Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope.  A full post to come soon.

Early June saw us moving apartments here in Singapore.  After two years of constant construction noise, we decided for a complete change of pace.  We moved to another apartment on Sentosa, a small island, linked by a roadway to Singapore. 

The challenge of the move was that the packers arrived 3 hours after I arrived back from Cape Town!!  Not ideal planning on my part lol!  Still, we managed to get it done.

We had 3 or 4 very tiring days as we got our self re-situated and everything unpacked.  Now comes the learning curve of being in a new place.  The upside, we have a wonderful sea view, no construction in sight.

And the fun does not end there.  As if we had not done enough, we took off for Bali a week after we moved apartments.  Crazy?!  Yes we are.  We did have a good reason though.  It happened to be our 30th Wedding Anniversary on the 18th June.  We could not let it pass without doing something a bit special.  The answer, 5 nights at The Samaya Resort in Seminyak, Bali.  We had our own little piece of heaven, a private villa with our own pool.

So you see why I am a little behind!  I will be working on my posts and will get them to you as soon as I can.  That is, if I can tear myself away from my balcony and my awesome view ;-).
