There are many options here in Singapore for "Sunday Brunch", it almost seems like a championship sport. Most of the major Hotels will do a brunch and many restaurants are also now muscling in on the act, giving many to choose from, with a variance of price points. For some time I had been hearing of the brunch offered at Senso Ristorante, an Italian place on Club Street, finally this past Sunday, my husband and I got to try.
I was fortunate earlier this week, to be one of the 25 bloggers who got to attend the very first BlogmeetSG, an awesome networking event for Singapore bloggers, wonderfully organised by Lucy from Lulabelle Lifestyle.
Hosted atEdit Lifestyle Boutique in the Tudor Court building on Tanglin Road, the evening was full of lovely surprises, goody bags and most of all the opportunity to get to meet face to face with other Singapore bloggers I have been following on social media since I started my own blog in 2011.
We all know - or at least those living here in Singapore do -that you can find practically any kind of cuisine here. Not only different kinds of cuisine but also completely different price scales. From the local hawker fare at $5 a plate all the way up to high end gourmet restaurants bearing the name of some "celebrity" chef or other.
Today, I had a nice Friday lunchtime treat and went to the upscale French, Au Petit Salut at Harding Road to try their set price weekday lunch. Recommend booking as they do fill up.
For the last month or so, it has been impossible not to notice the Mooncake madness here in Singapore!
The Mid Autumn Festival, which typically falls on the 15th day of the 8th Lunar month, is the 3rd major festival of the Chinese Calendar, (following after Chinese New Year and the Spring Festival). Also known as the Moon Festival, because at this time of year the moon is at it's highest and brightest, it will be celebrated this year on the 19th September. The build up to this Festival, has been a flurry of Mooncakes for sale everywhere.
