There is definitely much to love about the US State of Virginia. I am fortunate to be spending a chunk of my summer here in VA. My husband also took some vacation time in June which coincided with our 31st Wedding Anniversary.
We decided to spend our day with a scenic drive, heading out from Leesburg, to find one of the longest covered bridges in Virginia. Meems Bottom Bridge - located in the Shenandoah Valley at Mount Jackson, in between Strasburg and Harrisonburg.
I am back in Singapore having spent almost 6 weeks in my other home - Leesburg, Virginia in the USA. This cute Northern Virginia Town, steeped in Civil War history, has a special place in my heart, not least because they named the Town after us. (Just kidding! Of course, our surname is Lees so we do like to joke that maybe they did name it after us.)
Anyway, it was a lovely time, re-connecting with family, friends and "our Town".
